ActionTrip: Just how far does the game go with the violence and gore?
Jørgen Tharaldsen: We are taking it as far as we can. This is a mature game, no doubt about it, so you can expect some insanely brutal moves in there;) I watched lots of fatality move videos yesterday, and some of them were almost painful to behold. Gutting your enemy with a sword, twisting it around, then grabbing the head and breaking the neck (Ouch! - Vader). That kind of stuff. I mean, whatever it takes to survive, right? After all, this is Conan, heads will roll!
ActionTrip: Were you guys pleased with the general feedback from players who participated in the beta?
Jørgen Tharaldsen: We have learned a lot from the Beta so far. As we get more and more feedback on our technology and content, both from the internal beta and the external beta, we can implement that feedback into the game aoc gold. So, we are on track, and we are gearing up for launch this October.
Oh, today is actually a pretty special day for us here at Funcom, or I think so anyway. We had a hands-on event for some of the press recently, and we got the first feature in yesterday (5 pages in PC Gamer France). And they really liked it! "A new era for MMO?s," they said (translated from French that is!), and they got to play it prior to saying that. When you have worked on something for this long, and you get the very first hands-on feedback from the press, then it?s something special. And when they like it that much in addition, it?s even better. Sorry to spam you with that kind of marketing fluff, but hey, to us it means that we are on to something!
